Description On April 21st, our group of five decided to go out for dinner. Prior to arriving, I had contacted the restaurant to see if we were allowed to bring our own bottle of Scarecrow 2019 Magnum since they didn't have it in stock. They kindly permitted us to do so. We arrived at 6pm and didn't leave until around midnight, making it not just a good night out - but a truly exceptional one! Sebastian, our outstanding server, along with Kenny the Bar Manager and the entire kitchen staff, made this evening unforgettable. We practically sampled the entire menu that night, and the Oyster River Bar team was nothing but accommodating, even though our demands were numerous. The culinary experience was incredible; we all had sea scallops topped with tenderloins over a bed of lentils as our mains and mushroom-crusted black grouper on the side. Sebastian suggested a never-before-tried Vincent Joudart champagne as well as a Bhakta 50-year-old Armagnac, both of which were remarkable! It was an unforgettable evening filled with delectable food, outstanding service, excellent drinks, and an incredible ambiance. Although we stayed quite late and ordered enough food for at least ten people, we made sure to express our appreciation by generously tipping the staff. I never imagined enjoying a 6-hour dinner but this place made it happen – we'll definitely return!
